Be a Hero: Know How to Beat the Villainous Boss!

Be a Hero

In Canada, the craze for escape room games is starting to catch on in a big way. Rather than spending time watching Hollywood movies in the theater, people enjoy being in the escape game rooms on their day outs.

Some people who sign up for the room escape games have a guide to escapes. But a majority of people in British Columbia are not familiar with these escapes. If you’re one of them, you don’t need to be disheartened! Beating the villainous boss i.e. time may not be pretty simple, but a few escape room tips can help you ‘Be a Hero’! Are you ready to learn? Let’s go!

Get the most out of the escape game

Okay! So before we start, you must know what situation you’ll be in inside the escape room: you will walk into a room, the door will lock behind you, and the clock will start ticking away. Don’t panic! Hold your breath as real fun and game begin! You will have to find the clues, solve the puzzles and mysteries to find the key and finally escape the room! Sounds simple, right? Well, it’s not, but that’s what makes the game interesting…

“Practice makes a man perfect.”

First, you should practice escaping a room. Don’t know how? It’s simple! Lock yourself in your own room, and turn to one of the online escape games. Of course, no online escape games will give you the full adrenaline rush of “being there,” but you still have a great source to get some practice in before the big day.

Explore the rooms for clues

In every room, you must search for clues. You can touch everything in there, be sure about that! Don’t overlook obvious clues! Turn the room upside down, inside out and sideways and try to unearth every clue quickly. Look everywhere!

Communicate, and You Can Get By!

One of the best pieces of advice for a total beginner is that he/she must communicate to get by. This means that before solving the challenging puzzles, you should communicate what you’re seeing. This way, you will feed data into everyone’s mind, and your whole team will work from the same pool of knowledge. And, if you did this, chances are that you would surely break out!

Divide and Rule

It’s true that a team of 10 people can potentially attain 10x the amount than 1 person. But this will only happen if each team member contributes to the success of the team. So, rather than having large groups working on the same puzzle, you should be able to split up work. You should solve those puzzles that people aren’t working on.

It’s always the small pieces that make the bigger picture

Solve puzzles faster by guessing, examining everything and looking everywhere, putting objects together that seems to belong together, identifying what puzzles have been solved and what puzzles need to be solved. Just rely on simple approaches to the problem.

Be a Storyteller

Mostly, a room escape game has a plot! If you are really stuck, and none of the clues seems to be working so far, one of you must start acting like a storyteller,. If you think of what makes sense from a narrative perspective, you can be lucky in the escape game room!

Final Thoughts

Lastly, stop overthinking about doing well in the escape game room, in fact, you should experience a room escape game yourself and learn by trial and failure method.
